Colin Porter— a.k.a. The Bitcoin Ranger
My intelligence isn't artificial. It's advanced — and it learnt the long way round.
Twenty-five years in computing. Seventeen building. A decade out caring for two parents through illness and inheritance, returning with the patterns most operators never see. The work since: monetary, ecological, infrastructural — all the same shape underneath. I don't pivot. I converge.

§ 01 — Receipts
Three projects. One thesis. Eighteen years.
I've been writing the same idea since 2008 — putting logic, intention and provenance into financial primitives. The market kept arriving late. Some years I was building. Some I was learning what reality breaks. Both count. The artefacts below are the receipts.
2008Mobullet
Mobile commerce, before the iPhone shipped
CS dissertation · Kingston University · June 2008
Mobile pre-order and pre-pay for a London deli. Nokia N70, Google Checkout, .mobi domain. Two weeks before the iPhone 3G launched. Two years before Square existed. I built the spec. The world built the market.
First receipt
18 years later I queued 20 mins at a farm cafe and made the same poster again.

Programmable money, pitched to Visa Europe
Cass Business School / Visa Design Jam · Dec 2014
Smash = Smart Cash. Came second pitching conditional digital wallets — MCC-restricted spending, tagged charitable giving with provenance, blockchain rails coexisting with Visa. Bitcoin was $300. Ethereum hadn't launched. "Programmable money" wasn't a phrase. Visa invited us back to develop it. Cluster headaches and what came next meant I never went.
Second receipt
Every premise in that one-page spec is now a category.

Real-world assets, finally on chain
Hedera HTS · CMS Law · DigiShares · live now
UK farmland tokenisation. FarmYield.sol and FarmLTVGuard.sol smart contracts (25% LTV cap). FLAME dataset of 116,000 UK farms scored for inheritance-tax exposure. APR/BPR reform live since 6 April 2026 — the policy backdrop the whole thesis was waiting for. Token 0.0.8308219 deployed on Hedera testnet — mainnet launch tracking the £6M raise.
Same instinct. Bigger problem. This is the one that ships.

I was never early. The market was late.

§ 02 — Territories
I don't have a portfolio. I have a map.
Nine hundred-plus strategic domains acquired since the mid-2000s. Each one a coordinate. Together they form a thesis about where value lives — at the intersection of land, energy, money and time. A few of the live ones:
tokenise.farm
The flagship
UK farmland tokenisation. Hedera-native. Legal partner CMS. Enterprise licensing via DigiShares. £6M seed in motion.
aigent.farm
The agent layer
AI agent infrastructure for agricultural workflows. Pairs with Tokenise.Farm — humans set conditions, agents execute.
haizel.ai
The memory layer
Named for my late mother Hazel. Conversational AI tooling. Personal, deliberate, not for sale.
nft.am.in
Network Farm Token
The manifesto page. Reclaiming "NFT" for something that actually owns dirt.
starwars.farm
Star Wars Day campaign
A creative side-quest that got the brand in front of farmers via a joke that landed. Marketing as observation.
colinporter.ai

Operating principles · v.2026.05
Feedback over forecasts. Reality is the spec.
Resilience through redundancy. Four nodes, not one.
Independence at every layer. Sovereign infra by default.
All value is energy transformed. Land. Time. Compute.
Patterns that scale fractally. From household to nation.
Engineer for failure modes. Hope is not an architecture.
Optimise for decades. The market arrives when it arrives.
Break down to build up. Sometimes the long way is the only way.
§ 03 — Field Notes
Observation as method.
Not random conversations. Structured ethnography across pubs, farms, hackathons, ambulances and shopfloors. The data nobody else collects is the data that makes the work credible.
RASE — Science to Soil
Warwick Crop Centre · 12 May 2026
Researchers and new entrants. The audience that wants the technical depth. Talk lands on data infrastructure and the FLAME methodology — how 116,000 farms get scored without anyone losing the plot.
Clarkson's Farm Fest
Stoneleigh Park · 22–24 May 2026
RASE HQ. Working farming families. The audience that wants the human story and the £2.5M relief cap explained without jargon. Different room. Same thesis.
BitVan — converted ambulance
Permanent · UK · mobile
Sovereign infrastructure on wheels. Tailscale mesh across four nodes. Where the work happens between events. Literal long way round.
Hackathons — eight in twelve months
Hedera Apex · Imperial · ChainReaction · …

— end of dispatch —
If the patterns above look familiar, they probably are.
I'm raising £6M for Tokenise.Farm and talking to a small number of investors, partners and operators who care about land, money, infrastructure or all three. If that's you — or if you just want to compare maps — say hello.
